Note on the use of the Gini multidimensional index applied to an analysis of wage inequalities in Languedoc-Roussillon in 1996

Abstract

`titrebNote on the use of the multidimensional gini index applied on an analysis of wage inequalities in Languedoc-Roussillon in 1996`/titrebThis article shows that the multidimensional Gini index is more complete than its unidimensional configuration in order to compute the contribution of each group to the overall inequality. In Languedoc-Roussillon, it indicates that the disparities are particularly generated by wage differences between the regions and gender and confirms the opposite relation between the inequalities and poverty.Classification JEL : D63, D31, C10.`np pagenum="126"/b
