Following the example of the ‘Le Rhône en cent questions’ published by the Zone Atelier Bassin du Rhône, he addressed a wide range of subjects, ranging from natural hazards to health and ecotoxicological risks. It presents new processes to recycle industrial sludge, treat PCBs and recycle energy from waste. Environmental knowledge tools are an essential part of understanding the methods and means available to researchers working on the effects of climate change, the relationship between cities and nature, or the relationship between biodiversity, ecosystems and landscapes. This book also illustrates the networking work of the Environment Research Cluster, supported by the Rhône-Alpes Region, of which Vice-President Roger Fougères had made a major priority.
