Live climate, an engaged interactive “climate narrative” combining comic, audiovisual and game

Abstract

International audience The analysis of numeric communicationnal devices developping new forms of interactive stories represents an issue for the researchers trying to understand the various strategies implemented to touch different audiences. The objective of this article is to analyze an hypertextualised audiovisual discourse exploiting several stories presented in the form of digital comic strips, showing experts’ various forums in an audiovisual size and structured such as serious games  : it deals with Climate under pressure, thought and realized in the sociopolitical context of the COP21 in 2015 by TV5 Quebec Canada and TV5 Monde. Three angles of analysis are proposed  : (i) the first one concerning multimedia composition of the discourse, (ii) the second one focusing on the interdiscursive dynamics existing between narratives and related audiovisual discourse, (iii) and the last one studying the interlocutive processes implemented. The objective is to understand the argumentative dimension of the discourse, trying implicitly to convince the reader to fight against climate warming.
