Abstract
Based on an incursion into the electronic forums of collapsonauts, this article looks at what the idea of collapse does to those who adhere to it. At odds with the denunciations about the risks of demobilization or depoliticization, we can see that collapsology, by stimulating the joint exploration of concrete and situated relations, can encourage a radicalization of the relation to reality. Far from being a fabric of ignorance and distress, Facebook groups of collapsonauts appear as spaces of shared exploration, where the emergence of affordances and new paths prevail over dismay. We can thus see, in the fortunes of the term collapse, the index of a multiplication of investigations launched to find place where Earthbounds can land by experimenting with new modes of detachments-attachments.
