Abstract
Rousseau with Confessions have not finished exploring the depths of my myself, especially as he is constantly experiencing new suffering or happiness. The Dialogues and dreams are the result of an approach by an author who experiments with various forms of writing: it is freed from chronology; he prefers the sounding of the fragment to the continuity of the narrative. In these extreme experiences of folia and dream, he wondered and wondered about identity, memory, the status of literature, all issues that had been continually wearing our 20th century and risked becoming ever more acute in the 20th century.
