The aim of this volume is to further highlight the existing need to observe the process of health, illness and mental health care as a continuum where presence, history and culture have a fundamental value in therapeutic reading and interpretation. These factors make it possible to consider how mental disorders can be defined, explained and lived by both the subject and the biomedical therapists.
