This is a book on one of the most important contemporary social movements, the Brazilian MST, formally known as the Soil Rural Workers’ Movement. Its main objective is to study its symbolic, cultural and ritual system represented by the concept of museum, whose imaginary rooted and takes life in the history and memory of this movement both politically and religiously. In ideological and socialising terms, mistics are interpreted as the framework and cognitive and motivating engine of the symbolic and identity construction of the MST.
