The book presents for the first time and in full some of the most important treatments collected under the name Hippocrates in the Greek text collection called Corpus Hippcraticum. The treaties chosen present important concepts and provisions which have been developed more than two thousand years ago and which have hitherto been present in western medical practice. The reader finds texts on the importance of hypocratic medicine, ethical treaties, which lay down the practical foundations of medical ethics, and on the universe of old medical practice.
