Abstract
the behaviour of a group of Lagothrix sp. in semi-captivity was studied during the months February to June 2011. The group consists of seven females and four males. The Primates Ecuador project maintains a protocol in which behaviour was studied through sweeps and focal points from 8: 00 to 17: 00. In addition, the use of the stratum was studied. In terms of time use, two high peaks in feeding behaviour were observed between 8-8H59 and between 13h-13h59 corresponding to the artificial feeding provided to them at the rescue centre. As regards the use of the vertical stratum, this group does not frequently use strata above 5 metres. Individuals in this group spend most of the time in the soil for feeding or resting. This indicates that they are still far from being rehabilitated as in the natural environment they spend most of the time in the upper strata of trees looking for food. Project Primates Ecuador
