Abstract

Place of birth in Besançon, Jean-Jacques Boissard (1528-1602) stuck Europe. In Germany, Prusse, Italy and Greece, he stands for ancient reliefs and soap exchanges with the biggest erudits of his time by sharing archaeological passion and humanist ideals. The Communication will deepen Boissard’s Roman travels, meetings, exploration, vision of ancient and modern Rome. Looking at the multifaceted work of the antiquary, collector, false, poet, biontin moralist, we will show how the author understands antiquity and his remains: documentary data, antiquisant staging, or signs and links of a higher past.
