Learn to think differently. Scarring, a process that serves language and ideas

Abstract

Each of us is characterised by a way of understanding the reality that is often unconsciously reflected in the way it speaks. It discloses its reasoning and determines its action to a large extent. This principle applies both to an individual and to a family, social, political group, etc. Searching, which is the main purpose of this book, is as much a tool for understanding language and thinking as well as for generating new ideas. Its aims therefore lie in both analysis and creativity. By means of its visualisation system, which makes it usable in many circumstances, it enables everyone to grasp the key ideas of a speech, which are based on associations or oppositions between several elements. In doing so, he also highlighted the implications of this speech. Beyond this intention of analysis, it also offers opportunities to challenge these implicit ideas and opens up new ways of thinking and therefore acting. Square-setting is applicable to any type of speech: individual speeches, political programmes, advertising, conversation, etc. It will be particularly suited to professionals for whom the development of thought and action is the core of the business: teachers, trainers, psychologists, consultants, policy analysts, researchers, etc. It is also aimed at anyone wishing to improve their ability to communicate with others. Finally, the backsliding that this tool allows for the deployment of new ideas from everyone. The Screening tool is supported by two other techniques that enrich it. The first, known as Mie in the spotlight of links, strengthens its ‘analysis’ cluster, the second, called ‘Discovery Matrix’, facilitates the creation of new ideas and thus strengthens the ‘creativity’ cluster. This tool will be particularly appreciated when it comes to: — better understand the reasoning of a person or group; — challenge a view and propose alternatives; — improve his or her action or that of others; — (help) take decisions; — facilitate mediation of opposing views. The book is accompanied by a large number of examples drawn from a variety of contexts: training, family life, personal development, analysis of advertisements, daily life, education, political communication, etc. The book is aimed at anyone who, either in personal interest or because of their professional function, wishes to grasp the ideas of someone, identify their implicit ideas and propose other ways of thinking and therefore acting. Particular attention is paid to all activities whose thinking, whether from an analytical or developmental point of view, is the primary material: — the trainers; — therapists; — team supervisors; — the consultants; — policy analysts; — advertising; — researchers; — and more generally everyone who wants to critically question their understanding of the world
