Abstract
This study deals with the impact of an international training initiative on the concept of leadership by 23 Haitian school principals as well as its impact on the development of their professional practices. Data obtained from a questionnaire given to the principals and observations in the field allow us to conclude that the training initiative had an impact on the concept of leadership moving from a bureaucratic to a collaborative vision while contributing to the development of local capacity. We argue that a long-term commitment allowing the research team to return in the field could help us better understand the scope of the training on the development of professional practices of principals called to continue their work as change agents within the school system.
