Abstract

Partnerships translate a change of conception of school relations with its community in the context of a changing world. Their implementation is increasingly encouraged in several school systems especially in the West. What do the actors working in French language minority schools in Ontario benefit from them ? The results of a research studying partnership projects show that many partners see the implementation of a partnership as an opportunity to promote the educational institution in the community. This promotion could be used to counter the effects of competition between schools.
