Where these data come from
The debate on public resources during the campaign for the presidential elections in spring 2012

Abstract

* This survey, which was obviously not presented in the colloquium’s communications, provides a good illustration of its theme. Mr Le Clainche is also a member of the SFFP MB. During the campaign preceding the latest presidential elections in France, the policies for channelling public resources were the subject of debates on a wide range of topics. The programmes of the main applicants did not provide for any tax revolution and were in line with the objective of reducing budget deficits. However, there are significant differences: increasing the rapid progressive taxation of income and taxation of capital on the left; reliance on the costs of businesses and increases in VAT on the right.
