Apres gave the aim of siecle xviia some of the best universal stories, jesuites have, in apologetic and missionary perspectives, and generally against Port-Royal’s augustinism — but sometimes also in line with libertins’ views — have developed analyses based on their ideology of pardon and markers by rich humanism. The question of the virtues of the paiens and the purely moral virtues, the Chinese hikes, the philosophical peche and the status of Pay philosophers is discussed here. These harsh analyses cast on the spirit of openness of these religions, but their adventurous, unknowingly, announces the movement towards the Lumieres and the Lumieri moral.
