Abstract
This contribution was intended to answer the following question: Does research play a role in helping us understand the problems of ethics in practice of adapted physical activities? We relied on the distinction in ethic applied between a top-down approach and a bottom-up approach, the first based on the philosophical study of Ethics principles and the second on the empirical compact of relevant cases. The challenges for both researchers and resident professionals in dealing with any specific problems encountered in everyday practice, and in realising a reflection of ethical principles and empirical experiences. The relationship ethic and the resumption of two of our own studies enabled us to illustrate this assertion. To the questions we have raised, professionals must respond by reference to the cases at their disposal. Finally, we have seen some implications in terms of knowledge of adapted physical activities.
