Abstract
Este work proposes the law on racial hits, in particular black odds in Brazilian public universities, as a subject of study. The study deals with the principle of equality, its differentiation in material and formal equality and the analysis of this principle in the Federal Constitution. This was followed by an observation of racial inequality in Brazil, a distinction between bias and discrimination, the theoretical rationale of the affirmative actions, as well as the origin and conception of the racial race system. Literature research, laws and standards sought to study the main topic of this work: The elevation system in Brazilian public universities. Finally, the arguments against and in favour of the implementation of racial hits in the Brazilian legal system were addressed. The work provides more insight into the topic, which is polemic and topical and aims to foster discussion of the subject. Keywords: Racial hits for black. Discrimination. Affirmative actions. Principle of equality.
