Abstract
There are also theoretical issues of the type: the relevance of this knowledge discipline to the analysis of the reality of public action in Poland. This is due to the fact that public policy has emerged as a discipline of knowledge in the Anglo-Saxon tradition, based on its specific characteristics. In addition, the public policy theories were developed in the West, mainly in America. The base was the reality there. The question therefore arises as to whether we want to build our theories or adapt those developed elsewhere. However, we do not have many or even most elements of the Anglo-Saxon tradition, even in terms of the size of the analytical material. We are not even willing to carry out such an advanced analysis of social and economic phenomena. Therefore, the question of the theoretical potential of this discipline with regard to the analysis of public action in Poland seems to me to be relevant.
