This article looks at female sexuality and myths that have condemned women to the background throughout history; it also traces the traces of aggressive behaviour which, in some men, leads to gender-based violence. A literature review of a group of authors who have a prominent place in research on gender studies seeks to demonstrate the hypothesis that a new way of thinking and understanding the situation of women is possible.
