Abstract
中環美術館典藏了來自歐美和亞洲的繪畫、雕塑、版畫及工藝,是台灣少數具相當規模的私人收藏。本文以其西方風俗畫和風景畫共45件作品為研究對象,年代大約自1843年至2004年,分從7個歐美國家的43位藝術家之手中誕生,展現了自19世紀中葉以降的學院派、寫實主義、自然主義、印象派、新印象、後印象至20世紀的野獸派、巴黎畫派,約略呈現出西方現代繪畫的發展脈絡,尤以19世紀下半葉的法國印象派作品居多。本文採取美術館典藏型錄的研究方式,著重於相關史料、文獻及研究的蒐羅、整理與解析,希望以深入探討個別作品的方式,增加中環典藏品的可讀性,進而拉近觀者與作品之間的距離,並使台灣收藏家的西方藝術典藏受到重視。 ; This thesis researchs on 45 pieces of Western genre and landscape paintings of CMC Art Museum, which is one of fairly rich private collections in Taiwan and consists of paintings, sculptures, engravings and handicrafts from Europe, USA, and Asia. These 45 works, year from around 1843 to 2004, belong to 43 artists from 7 countries, and roughly show the course of history of Western modern paintings in sequence, from academic style, r?alisme, naturalisme, impressionisme, neo-impressionisme, post-impressionisme since the middle 19th century to Les Fauves, L’?cole de Paris of the early part of the 20th century. Most of them, moreover, belong to French impressionisme in the last half of the 19th century. In this thesis, I adopt a writing model of museum catalogue, and focus on searching, collecting, analyzing relevant materials and references of every single work for the purpose of making these paintings more readable, and even promoting the Western art collections in Taiwan.
