Abstract

Lan se već tisućljećima uzgaja prvenstveno zbog vlakana. Nutritivne vrijednosti njegova sjemena i ulja koje se od njega dobiva, sve više dobivaju na značenju u modernoj medicini i prehrani kao i hranidbi stoke. Procesi dorade i skladištenja uvelike pridonose zastupljenosti lana na tržištu i popularnosti. U posljednje vrijeme lan sve više koristi kao prirodni kompozit u izgradnji raznih materijala kao što su dijelovi automobila i slično. Dorada omogućuje uz modernu tehnologiju da vlakna lana postanu čvršća i dugovječnija te se time približava umjetno stvorenim materijalima, kao konkurent u tekstilnoj i građevinskoj industriji u budućnosti. Samom doradom utječemo i na kvalitetu ulja kako u medicinske svrhe tako i u prehrambenoj industriji. Razvojem tehnologije skladištenja lan prestaje biti kultura čija prerada završava kratko nakon žetve, već je poboljšanjem uvjeta skladištenja omogućena njegova dorada tokom čitava sezone sa minimalnom promjenom kvalitete što vlakana što sjemena za daljnju obradu. ; Flax has been grown for thousands of years primarily for its fiber, but the nutritional value of its seeds and the oils derived from it are gaining in importance in modern medicine and nutrition as well as in animal nutrition. Finishing and storage processes greatly contribute to the market presence and popularity of flax. So flax is increasingly used as a natural composite in the construction of various materials such as car parts and the like. Finishing enables, with modern technology, flax fibers to become stronger and more durable, thus approaching artificially created materials as a competitor in the textile and construction industry in the future. By refining, we also affect the quality of oil for both medical purposes and in the food industry.
