Specific instances of illnesses and misfortune are discussed as well as the curing ceremony 'pastyatyu', the malignant spirits 'ujmu' and 'kume' the malignant and powerful, red incandescent stones of 'pichulla', snakebites and various means for curing these illnesses and curses.
