Abstract
This file reflects the diversity of research into the execution of sentences in an open environment within the French prison services for integration and probation. From the design of penal and penitentiary policies to their implementation, it aims to analyse the contemporary standby and recomposition of this public policy sector. The file brings together research on current European contexts in France (Coline CARDI; Caroline Touraut) and Portugal (Manuela Da Cunha and Rafaela Granja) on ordinary detentions, but also on the situation in Peru (Camille Boutron and Chloé Cononte) and the case of the detention of Palestinians in Israel (Stéphanie Latte Abdallah); he also draws on the experience of incarceration under Franquism (César Lorenzo Rubio) and Iran in the 1980s (Shahla Talebi).
