Abstract
The e-book makes us consider the printed book as a circulation device, whether it is material, conversational or written and it helps outline what the digital revolution amplifies or reduces. Our research work on digital reading during the last 5 years emphasizes the difference with music and a number of drawbacks that prevent the e-reading experience to become as attractive as it should. Of course, on both formats, to read is to give to read, to read is to talk and to read is to write, but from our interviews, questionnaire and web topology, many differences can be displayed.
