Abstract
[ES] The use of academic videos in academia has been rapidly spread and deployed in different teaching applications, giving rise to platforms and services such as the PolyMedia University of València (UPV), which enables the creation, publication and dissemination of this multimedia content. Through various research projects, and specifically the European transLectures project, the UPV implemented a system that automatically generates subtitles in various languages for all polyMedia videos. This generation of subtitles is based on automatic speech recognition and machine translation systems, which provide high accuracy in such recognition and translation into major European languages. The generated transliterations and translations are not only used to improve accessibility, but also enable video content to be searched and located within the portal. This allows us to locate the video, and the instant within it, where a specific text was said. In this article we also amplify the previous work on the evaluation of the review process, including the transcription of French and the translation from Spanish into Catalan.
