Diseño del tratamiento de las aguas residuales de una industria textil (70 m3/d) para la eliminación de fibras y reutilización del agua

Abstract

[EN] Textile industry is one of the most important in the world. This sector uses large quantities of water in the different phases of their productive processes, that later can not return no the environment because of its content in pollutant elements. In this End-of-degree Project, wastewater from a textile company is treated so that it can be reused later. To this end, two techniques have been studied, in order to implement them in a single design: filtration with filter materials, and filtration with nanofiltration membranes. Firstly, laboratory trials have been made to study wastewater behaviour when filtering it with different filter fillers. In order to do this, the most appropriate parameters have been identified to study the performance of the process, like total suspended solids, turbidity, colour or COD. By doing so, the optimal filter material has been chosen according to the efficiency in the elimination of these parameters. Afterwards, the water obtained after the previous filtration has been used as feed in a nanofiltration membranes pilot plant to select the conditions of operation to maximize the removal of contaminants in textile wastewater. After finishing the experimental pase, the results obtained have been used to design and industrial plant that implements both technologies, and capable of treating a flow of 70 m3 /d. TFGM
