Abstract

[is] My End Degree Work focuses on the creation of a comic, consisting of around 12 pages, which are divided into three different chapters. An original story, with their respective script, sketches, and character studies. The aim is to show professionalism and qualities learned throughout the degree of fine arts, in turn the publication of that comic, that is to say once in the form of layout and printing, to be submitted to an independent publisher with the intention of being published. They also provide an analysis of the creative process of the last three years where you work on the type of illustration you use and all the changes experienced, as well as the development of the main character. The story revolves around a 18-year-old girl called María from a village in Murcia called Abarán who comes from an ultracatolic family, who are not satisfied with her daughter’s lifestyle, as she does not follow her aesthetic tastes or Catholic lifestyles, but she is a good girl, even if they do not see it. The parents decide to give her the option of moving to the city of valence for Catholic curses in the convent of Mary Esclavas, which serves as a female residence and educational centre. The parents’ intention is for Maria to change life and give up to healthy life, she accepts, but not with the intention of redirecting her life where her parents want to have the opportunity to leave her home. First, I would tell the journey, the first impression of the convent and the atmosphere that exists, secondly, it will be seen with what kind of people they have to live with and the relationships that are created between them. At the end of the sheets, it will include a survey of characters on each character that has appeared in history. You also dedicate part of the work to talk about the artists that have influenced me most, some will be national drawing makers such as Francisco Ibáñez or Paco Roca, and others more international, of very different styles, mangaka Shintaro Kago or Iranian illustrator Marjane Satrapi. In these studies I will reflect on them, highlighting how they have marked their mark in my work.
