Implementation of environmental legislation in the environmental impact assessment

Abstract

Consultation at the ETSI Industrial Library (6240) [es] The purpose of this project is to carry out a comparative study between the environmental impact assessment systems of Canada and Spain, reviewing their assessments in all its aspects: Public participation, institutional structure, process, reviews and claims, so that their systems can be fully developed and compared, basing the analysis and comparison on the current legislation on environmental impact assessment up to the current Law 27/2006 of 18 July. The project also aims to make a comparison between the actual implementation of these evaluations in the projects, but this is compared and studied evaluations made in two real projects, one in Canada and one in Spain. The aim of these comparisons is to draw advantages and disadvantages from the Environmental Impact Assessment in Spain, also bearing in mind the importance of public participation in these Environmental Impact Assessments, and finally, and after these comparisons, it is intended to draw a methodology for identifying potential project participants in order to be able to choose a public participation in the environmental impact assessment processes and an environmental impact assessment process that is more in line with environmental legislation and public awareness.
