Conference focused on: (1) cultural specificities of schools that are not used to power (why are they? What characterises them? And how to take it into account to become a recognised and legitimate Dean?); (2) the special status of Dean (member of the Governing Board and at the same time a teacher); (3) how to locate themselves, to position themselves in front of their colleagues and at the same time to fulfil their terms of reference (i.e. to carry out the tasks assigned by the management by succeeding in convincing, mobilising teachers).
