Abstract
Forms of expression of human sexuality are now undergoing rapid and profound changes. While the shock caused by the emergence of HIV has led to their study focusing for some time solely on the ‘risk’ dimension, recent work has opened up to other topics: diversity of practices in love, homosexuality, prostitution, pornography, etc. Sexual practices are observed here from a negotiating point of view, with cross-trade patterns: there are seduction situations where the relationship between sex and gifts is not necessarily an expression of power. These negotiations also include the emotional economy, as the sexuality negotiated cannot be reduced to its physical manifestations: it is also expressed through feelings.
