Abstract
This dissertation contributes to the empirical trade literature that uses firm-level data to study the impact of globalization on firm behaviour. It improves the understanding of trade policies and their impact on heterogeneous firms in the context of a developing economy. The first chapter studies the short-run impact of Indian antidumping policy on trade flows from China. In the second chapter, firm-product-level data are used to evaluate the impact of Indian antidumping policy on domestic importers’ input use, providing evidence on input and output switching effects. The final chapter investigates the firm-level impact of antidumping measures on producers’ profitability in India.
