Abstract
What are the fundamental elements or nodal points of a Catholic ecclesiology? To what extent do they still constitute differences between the Catholic Church and the other Churches? This is what is at stake in this reflection. Thus, the article begins by recalling some key points of a Catholic conception of the Church, starting from the Vatican II concile, which has now given rise to a conflict of interpretations within Catholicism. It is then examined, through some of the Ecumenical documents of the past decade, which of these key points are still separating today and to what extent, even if the differences vary greatly from one Christian tradition to another and have sometimes led to remarkable rapprochement in recent years.
