Where these data come from
A look at the inclusion of women in the Agricultural Livestock course: a specific study at a Campus of the Federal Institute of Farroupilla

Abstract

This article is the result of a master’s research from the Vocational and Technological Education course of the Federal Institute of Farroupilla (IFFar) – Jaguari campus. In view of the myristic and preconceived narrative about women in history and the consequent construction of the inequality of people, the course of farming as a male was culturally established. This work was thus carried out on the basis of a qualitative search of the type of case study and was used as a tool for collecting semi-open questionnaires and consulting documents of the institution. The questionnaires were sent by e-mail to women in the second and third years, former women and teachers in the agricultural and livestock education course of the IFFar campus A. The aim was to understand how they come to experience this experience within a course considered socially for men. The analysis of the data was carried out on the basis of the speech textual analysis (ATD). Research concluded that despite the increase in the number of women enrolled in the course and public policies in favour of women, there is still a bias in livestock farming. It is believed that there is still a need for reflection on the subject and the consequent denaturing of concepts and customs still rooted in society today.
