Abstract
Issues related to rituals, cultivars, religion or magia are important but in significant memes neglected and theoretically insufficiently precise themes in contemporary archaeological interpretations. The aim of the work is to show, at the specific primers of potentially ritual activities related to the construction and possible ‘ritual killing’ of the water supply system at the Kale site in Krševic, that this disregard is not only an employment of actuariality and trends in the selection of research topics, but is a more serious problem showing some shortcomings in contemporary approaches related to identity archaeology and concepts of struggling or symbolic rejection.
