Abstract

Multiculturalism is a cultural and political and institutional model for managing diversity in a multi-ethnic society, the theoretical basis of which is cultural relativism. Just as no culture can claim universal validity, the process of historical Western rationality marks the end of the metaphysical proposition to tell the truth of the man and the world, without saying that science is about truth. Managing diversity and ensuring tolerance is the “necessity” of multiculturalism. Its theoretical weakness paradoxically lies in the inability to think about the difference. Universal is not culture, which is always unique, but human. Only the affirmation of this universal dimension of experience can justify respect for the singularity of the other, of its infinite variation and difference. Humans always speak in a particular culture. The universal structure of the experience is at the same time in and beyond every culture, both transcending and immanent, trans-immanent. This structural identity is constitutionally assigned to a multifaceted emergency. In this context, one can speak of a reason which, in the name of a loyalty to experience, is prepared to rethink the problem of universality, the relationship between singular and universal. Como nenhuma cultura pode pretender uma validade universal, or the trial of historicização da racionalidade Ocidental marca or FIM da pretensão metafísica de diser a verdade do Homem e do mundo, não obsolo se acredite que fazer Ciência já seja o acontecer da verdade. A necessidade do multiculturalism reside no administrar in Diversidade and no assegurar a tolerância. His fraqueza teórica se encontra paradoxali na incapacidade de Pensar in Própria diferença. Universal não é a culture, que is always particular, mas or humano. Somente a afirmação desta dimensão universal da experiência pode fundar o respeito da singularidade do outro, his infinite alteridade and diferença. Or humane if he always counters culture. To Estrutura universal da experiência está, ao mesmo tempo, em e além de cada cultura, ao mesmo mesmo transient and imanent, trans-imanent. ESTA Idendade estrutural é constitually assinalada with experiência múltipla. NESSE contexto, pode-se falar de uma razão que, em fidelidada à experiência, dispõe-se a repensar or problem from universalidade, relação entre or singular and or universal.Palavras-chave: Multiculturalism, relativism cultural, culture, Universal, singular AbstractMulticulturalism is a cultural and political-institutional framework for managing diversity in a multiethnic society, whose theoretical basis proceedings of cultural relativism. As no culture can claim to university validation, the historicising process of western rationality points out the end of metaphysical pretension of telling the truth about man and the world, although one belief that doing science is ready the case for truth. The necessity of multiculturalism lies in managing diversity and in ensuring tolerance. It’s theoretical weakness is paradoxically unable to think of difference itself. Culture always emerges as being the particular as the human appears as being the university. Only the statement of this universal dimension of experience can see the respect of other’s uniqueness, of his infinite diversity and deference. The human is ways understood within a specific culture. The universal structure of experience is at the same time, in and beyond each culture in particular, at the same time immanent and transcendent, there is to say, trans-immanent. This structural identity is constitutionally marked by a multiple experience. In this context, one can speak of a reason that in the name of fidelity to experience is willing to think the problem of Universality, the vulnerability between the singular and universal.Key words: Multiculturalism, cultural relativism, culture, Universal, singular
