Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine examples of female roles attributed by society, reproduction through sequences, and show that the media offers sexist stereotypes related to women and reinforces secondary positions in Patriarkal society. In this study, the series of "Paramparts" that reproduce patriarchal codes and the 'Medcezir' series 'Medcezir' were selected as examples for its strong female representation. From this point, the two sequences included in sampling are selected for seasons corresponding to the same broadcast period; sequences have been examined in terms of scenario, speech and image/show through qualitative data analysis, and are interpreted in terms of feminist theory by comparison with the female characters of two sequences included in sampling. Although women are not represented in the series in its real form, despite the female characters in the series, how male-dominated rhetoric is carried out in films, how women are depicted, and why women's experiences in real life are ignored in the series. In terms of feminist theory, the perspectives of feminist authors such as Gülnur Savran Acar, Christine Delphy, Heidi Hartmann have been addressed. / The aim of this study is to examine the examples of the Reproduction of female roles attributed by society and to show that the media presentsist Stereotypes about and it reinforced their secondary position in patriarchal society.
