Abstract
Se goes on to set out a reflection on informational literacy (hereinafter referred to as IA) designed by the Public Administrative Archives, an unusual opportunity in this type of unit. The aim is to empower and empower internal and external users in existing products and services to enhance the opportunities offered by archives. Starting from a brief conceptualisation of the AI phenomenon, the literature review proposes adherence to a certain model, which generally allows it to be adapted to the characteristics of the archives. In addition, Uruguay’s reality is contextualised in terms of regulations and policies relating to these information services and access to public information. In order to justify this reflection, the relevance of the study of users is outlined and risks identifying the types of users using administrative files and categorising them according to their information needs.
