This article explores testimonies of Brazilian women who have migrated to Spain and have experienced sex work. It debates certain feminist perspectives that view prostitution as a site of agency which occurs within existing sexual orders. From the perspective of historical methods, and encompassing the categories of gender and experience, the article analyses narratives of Brazilian women involved in networks of trafficking in persons and the sex trade in Spain in the turn of XX and XXI centuries.
