Where these data come from
By building the stereotype of pre-school teachers in times of pandemic

Abstract

In this narrative, the author, a young pre-school teacher in a rural area of Oaxaca, Mexico, is opposed to the stereotype established by pre-school teachers. It reflects on life in the pandemic, for some under the shelter of a ceiling and job security, for others, in the fierce daily struggle for livelihoods. In the end, the people are political, as shown in this narrative that unveils an emerging daily world, exacerbating social inequality and highlighting the contradictions of the role that women are required to play, especially educators, will the ability to crack down, or we already accept with indifference the death of our communities, especially when it comes to the door of those who are dispossessed, the homeless, the poor? The author’s speech, framed by intersectional feminism and critical pedagogy, represents a resource that pays for the reflection of the historical moment we live and the need to rethink what and how of an education underpinned by social justice and questioning patriarchal order that undermines human rights.
