The author presents here some reflections on the role of women in society. To do this takes into account various positions and perspectives on previous ways of understanding women, coming to rest in the proposals of the sociologist G. Lipovetsky, in what he calls «third woman», since it has assumed the role of women in this postmodern era and finally some thoughts concerning the call male culture and ideological support proposals that arise.
