Abstract
Technological progress is one of the main sources of the development of any economic system. In regions where indigenous technological innovation is very limited, technological progress and its stimulating effects on the productive fabric and employment stem primarily from the adaptation and dissemination of technological progress generated in other areas. We believe that this is the case in Andalusia and we are therefore planning a study that will allow us to come closer to measuring this phenomenon. This is why the aim of the work we have put forward is: to estimate the degree of dissemination of technological change in Andalusia, with particular regard to its impact on the level of employment in potentially innovative sectors, on the basis of the regional Input-Output Tables currently available, published for 1975 and 1980.
