Abstract

Summary: This article seeks to discover the human specialist or researcher on the range of opportunities offered by Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to assist them in their work in the research process. Can ICT really participate in the research process in Social Sciences and Humanities? Do ICTs become a real aggregate value for research? Are researchers’ practices really changing? How can they be used effectively in research? How do ICTs contribute to research training? These are some of the questions that will be addressed in this Article. It also provides insights into the use of ICT to support research in human sciences, be it the development of the problem, the development of the theoretical framework, the development of methodology, data collection and analysis, or the dissemination of research results. The objective of this study is to contribute to the more integrated and strategic use of the technological tools available at all stages of the research.Abstract: This article aims to show the specialist or remedy in human sciences the entire range of opportunities that the Information and Communication Technologies provide to help him in the research process. Can ICT participate actively in the research process in human sciences? OJ ICT become an additional value to human sciences? OJ ICT really change the researches’ practices? How to use the ICT in research? How do ICT contribute to the research training? These is some of the questions that this article will cover. This article also provides ideas regarding the use of ICT in service of Human Sciences research in its different phases: the constitution of the problem, the Elaboration of the theory frame, the development of the methodology, the data collection and analysis as well as the diffusion of the research results. The objective of this study is to contribute to the more integrated and strategic use of the technological tools available during all the phases of research.
