Abstract
This work will seek to contribute to widening understanding to around contemporary relations between the spheres of mini and politics in our country, based on the ethnographic of the discursive production of Veja periodicals and the Capital Charter on the presidential election of 2010. To this end, it gave a brief reflection on some of the value peculiarities of the language exchange market by analysing the social usages of speech. Since the speech, as a symbolic good, can establish social distinctions that denounce a context of symbolic violence, we can project the possibilities of what can be established symbolically and socially constructed, from the circulation of informative speeches at moments concerning popular participation on national political issues such as plebiscites and elections. This situation allows us, taking into account the specific nature of Brazilian social reality, to ask some questions about the importance, with a view to the effectiveness of symbolic exchanges, of the relationship between the symbolic information market and the space of dispute between the political authorities in the country.
