RESUMO: Este artigo aborda, de uma perspectiva discursiva, o funcionamento da alteridade no tratamento editorial de textos. Analisamos dois aspectos: primeiro, os lugares enunciativos que aí se instituem em correlação — autor e leitor; segundo, as memórias discursivas que balizam sua realização, sempre inscrita em um campo. Destacamos a inseparabilidade entre o texto e suas condições de produção, considerando as relações entre os vários discursos que regulam esse trabalho, ora restringindo suas possibilidades, ora ampliando-as. ABSTRACT: This paper discusses, on a discursive perspective, the functioning of the otherness on editorial treatment of texts. We analyse two aspects: first, the enunciative places that establish themselves one by the other — author and reader; second, the discursive memories that delimit its execution, always inscribed in a specific field. We stand out the inseparability between the text and its production conditions, considering the relations among the several discourses that regulate this work, restricting its possibilities or enlarging them.
