Abstract
Na post-modern society, marked by the complexity of social relations and the evolution of technological means, requires even stronger protection of the integrity of the human person, which is achieved by the realisation of a new right to personality. This can only be seen from the perspective of a new civil law, inspired by humanist and solidarity-based values dictated by the Citizen’s Constitution. Thus, to the open list of rights of personality protected by the legal system, guided by the general human protection clause, we add the right to be forgotten, which the few take shape in the Brazilian legal area. The aim of this work is to present the state of the art of this new right and to contribute to the upscaling of studies on the subject.
