Abstract
Psychological disorders have been amplified in this century and are hitting people of different ages and socio-economical profiles. Ahead of that scenario, the present work seeks to discuss and demonstrate how leisure and artefact can be alternatives to the treatment of people with depression, as well as aids in controlling the advancement of that disease through the connection between leisure, art and health. Literature and field research with a qualitative focus has been used as a methodology, the data of which highlighted the lack of work with the same focus and gave an overview of how many of Belaveha’s psychologists and craftsmen have (or have not) used leisure and art therapy as aids to the individual’s well-being and disease prevention.
