Abstract
The proposed article for the dossier aims to present an analysis of the educational experiences that the Salesian congregation developed in the Argentine Patagonia during the 20th century. We will find our study in the city of Comodoro Rivadavia (Chubut), which, since 1907 with the discovery of oil, and above all with the creation of the Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales (YPF) company in 1922, became a major worker movement. These aspects helped to enable the congregation to develop four educational proposals ranging from primary to university level, as it ensured technical and Christian training for young people who would subsequently enter the world of oil work.
