Abstract

PRESENTATION With a focus on the multitude of sciences, number 2011-2 presents a variety of articles coming from different areas, in particular education, social and political sciences, addressing both Brazilian and international realities, always in the attempt to aprify and socialise knowledge. We start this paragraph by looking at the history of a higher education institution in Paraná to FACIBEL as part of the Brazilian government’s policy advocating the expansion and internalisation of higher education. Following a text on the importance and possibility of promoting the protection of adolescent in conflict with the law in the application of socio-educational measures, referred to in the Statute of the Child and Adolescent as subjects of developmental rights. To complete this reflection, we have the article presenting the record of a study with shelter workers pointing to problems faced by them in their cotidian with sheltered children. In a second block, there are three articles of Media Science that present us from “imaging photography”, where the power of the image for efficient communication is highlighted. The article “Not all is mydiatisation...”, directs reasoning so that mydiatisation is seen as a game of transversal, delayed, diffuse, heterogeneous and fragmented sentiment relationships. they produce interactions and links through practices and processes circulating in society. ‘Politics in newspapers during the election period’ is an article reflecting on the participation of the electoral topic in the mid during electoral disputes, highlighting the significant visibility given to candidates for executive office in Paris newspapers analysed. Reflections from political and legal sciences with an international focus is what we have in the wake of: the Ecuador case, which focuses on the problem of political relations between the state and indigenous people, as well as the conflicts arising over the concept of plurinationality. Already in ‘The immigrant as a subversive practitioner of politics, the possibility of a ‘new world’ – the project universal-cosmopolite of human rights as opposed to territorial Soberania’, the author seeks to show how the ‘immigrant’ can represent and push a utopic cosmopolitism that visualises and defends a world without borders. The article ‘The request for cooperation from the International Criminal Court to Brazil in the capture of the President of Sudan’ aims to know whether the difficulties in harmonising certain provisions of the Statute of the International Criminal Court with the Brazilian Constitution may prevent Brazil from cooperating with the International Criminal Court in the present case. I am writing this paragraph of the magazine with a reflection which presents assumptions for analysis in relation to the subject of “Democracy in the liberal and marxist debate”, which initially presents democracy in the direction of its understanding as an organically linked process to critical content, that is to say when taken only in its institutional processing. Secondly, it explains how democracy is a process of democratisation linked to the construction of a new corporate order which contrasts with that of capital. Profa. Ms Reidy Rolim de Moura Profa.
