En este trabajo se aborda el concepto borgiano del mundo y la poética de la lectura que deriva del relato de enigma del erudito escritor argentino. Se entregan interesantes antecedentes biográficos que explican su profundo nihilismo frente a la posibilidad de conocer o representar el mundo externo y se profundiza en las metáforas del espejo, el laberinto y el sueño, como también en el misticismo de la cábala judía: con ello se ilustra un mundo que se presenta caótico, infinito, cuando no ininteligible para la mente humana, un auténtico orden secreto. Por último, se demuestra la relación paródica que Borges establece con el cuento detectivesco clásico, que subvierte la figura del racionalista triunfante, y se afirma la importancia que se le asigna al lector, quien se hace parte de una búsqueda de sentidos que lo instalan en la intertextualidad del relatoThe following paper deals with the borgian concept of the world and the poetic that comes from reading the tales of this wise and enigmatic Argentinean writer. Interesting biographical details are given explaining his profound nihilism concerning the possibility of knowing and representing the outside world. The paper also goes in depth with the metaphors of the mirror, the labyrinth and the dream, as well as the mysticism of the Jewish superstition: with which a world that presents itself chaotic, infinite, barely understandable for the human intellect and a true secret order is illustrated. Finally, it demonstrates the parody present in the relationship Borges establishes with the detective story, that subverts from the figure of the triumphant rationalist, and affirms the importance of the reader, who becomes part of the search for understanding that make him an element of the inter textuality of the story
