Abstract
This article aims to reflect on the representations of hegemonic masculinity and sexuality in graffiti produced by adolescents in a State School of Pontalinda, SP between 2018 and 2019. We sought to identify and analyze in the images the construction of hegemonic masculinities, subjectivities as well as gender stigmas and prejudices. Regarding the methodology we opted for a descriptive-exploratory research of qualitative nature, in which we will use elements of Critical Discourse Analysis, as it allows to examine sociocultural and linguistic aspects. The results point to the lack of research, the growing existence of gender bias and sexuality in schools. We advocate the need to problematize gender and sexuality issues in curriculum policy discourses and in educator training processes. It reflects the possibility of reflection, (de) construction of prejudices and gender stereotypes allowing the formation of critical and conscious citizens in their subjectivities.
